What is a 1:1 writing therapy session?
A 1:1 writing therapy session is a private hour where we use your own writing to work through what is on your mind. You write, we read it together, and we follow the thread that matters. No performance. No fixing. Sessions are online, so you can join from India, the UAE, or anywhere.
After every session, I send you a prompt pack to help you keep working with what came up.
Who books this
These sessions are for overthinkers. The people whose minds replay yesterday and rehearse tomorrow. If journalling alone leaves you circling the same thought, a guided session helps you move through it.
-
People carrying something they cannot say out loud yet. Writing lets you say it once, to a page, before you decide who else hears it.
-
People who have tried talking therapy and want a different route in. Not a replacement. A different tool, working alongside it.
What happens in the 45 minutes
Each session runs 45 minutes, and up to 60 when the next hour is free. We meet online. Bring a notebook or write on the call. You leave with something on the page, not just good intentions.
Minutes 0 to 7
You say what is on top
No history, no background. Just the thing that is loudest today. I ask two or three questions to find where the sentence keeps looping back to.
Minutes 7 to 20
First write, timed
I give you a prompt built from what you just said and set a timer, usually eight minutes. Your camera can go off. You write without stopping and without fixing anything. Spelling does not matter. Finishing sentences does not matter.
Minutes 20 to 30
We read back one line
You choose a single line that surprised you and read it aloud. You share only that. We look at who is speaking in it: you, or a voice you picked up from someone else. This is the part that does the work.
Minutes 30 to 40
Second write, from a new angle
Second prompt, shorter, usually a shift in position: writing to the person, writing as the part of you that disagrees, or writing the version where the story ends differently. Five to six minutes.
Minutes 40 to 45
You leave with a way forward
We name what shifted, in your words, not mine. After the session, I send you a prompt pack shaped around the work we did, so you can keep working with it in your own time. Your pages stay with you. I do not keep them and I do not record the call.
What people say afterwards
Voices from the room
From the start it felt like a very safe space to be open, to be myself, and to write from my heart. It enabled me to become more self aware.
You were very warm and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely workshop. It felt rich with possibility.
The content was very interesting and I enjoyed learning more about my inner voice.
You have a warm manner and clear spoken voice which ensures you reach your audience and keep them engaged.
